Welcome
The Canadian Young Geotechnical Engineers and Geoscientists Conference is a national Canadian Geotechnical Society specialty conference held every three years. cYGEGC aims to create a relaxed environment where young members of the geo engineering and geo science communities, within Canada, are provided a great opportunity to share technical knowledge and exchange career experiences. The 3rd cYGEGC will be held September 16-18, 2010, immediately following the 2010 Canadian Geotechnical Conference in Calgary, Alberta.
Call for Abstracts
Abstracts of no more than 400 words should be submitted in English or French to the Technical Chairs, Matthew Perras and Maureen White, by April 15, 2010 for inclusion into the conference proceedings (CD).
Participants are encouraged to submit their abstracts well before this date as space is limited and abstracts will be accepted in the order that they are received.
Extended abstracts should be prepared using the Word template.
Participants must register for the conference at the time of abstract submission, to secure their place.
A wide range of specialties will be represented, however submissions on the following technical themes are particularly encouraged:
- Case Histories
- Advances in Modeling/Testing
- Environmental Geology
- Geo-hazards
- Soil and Rock Mechanics
- Geo-environmental Engineering
- GIS and Remote Sensing
